ONE STORMY DAY IN HONG KONG.......

In 1994, while sitting at my desk at Cityplaza, I saw a brand new 747-400 go off the end of the runway at Kai Tai Airport and into Victoria Harbour. The plane floated about and people poured out onto the wings. The plane's tail was later blown off at 6am because it was deemed a hazard for planes landing. The plane sat in the water for about 10 days before they brought it out. The China Airlines (Taiwan) plane was the second of two major crashes in Hong Kong. The next one was at the new airport when the plane flipped upside down and slid down the runway. You can see that crash on www.airdisaster.com
