Well, I am now living in Hangzhou, China, about 70 min by train from Shanghai. I moved here on Dec. 25th 2008, so I am fairly new to the city although I'd visited here many times. I lived in Shenzhen from 2003 to 2008 and before that in Hong Kong from 1987 until 2002. Hangzhou is a former ancient Capital of China and is famous for a place called Westlake. A fog mist shrouded lake in the center of town that is surrounded by old Chinese homes, pagoda's, museums and outdoor cafe's. Google this city and you'll see what I mean. A truly beautiful place. Marco Polo when he visited here called it "Heaven on earth" which I suppose it is in many ways.
